Doctrine of Peace

VOLUME ONE - CHAPTER 25

In former times, concerning redeeming and changing, a man wrote with all authority, to confirm in his times, according as ordained to them, and decreed for themselves and for their seed, and it was written in a book. Our Father sought him a man after his own heart, that he continue his word, which he spoke, to give you a land, this day.

I will visit you, and perform his good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. Behold, the day has come and to confirm the word of his servants, and perform the counsel of his messengers, I will build as in the days of old. And this shall be the peace I shall raise up the poor, lift the needy, and set them as princes of our people.

To establish among them the day of rest, to turn from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: days of feasting and joy, of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor. But remember the LORD, Almighty God, our Father, for it is he that gives the power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant this day.

And now, Our Father, the words I have spoken concerning this house establish for ever, and establish the throne of your kingdom for ever. And that this be the token of the covenant between me and all upon the earth, the kingdom is established in my hand. And all I decree establish unto me, as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand.
